Sitemap generator not loading

I've been using the sitemap generator for a couple of weeks now and its been really useful in getting more of my pages indexed by Google but now I can't load it. When I click on the icon the Java logo displays as usual but then I get a small x in the top left of the screen (similar to when an image is not found)

Help please?

Same situation ... failed to start after having been previously used successfully several times.

I first checked the Java version, and Sun reported that an update was required for Google Chrome. After installing that, the site map generator worked.

Next time, several minutes later, it failed to load again in Chrome. Tried FireFox, also without success. Tried IE, and it ran fine.

Next time, several more minutes later, it failed to load again in Chrome, FireFox and IE. Rebooted the computer ... no success.

Went back to Chrome. Failed to load ... until after clicking on the browser's refresh icon two or three times. Then it loaded up and worked just fine.

No solutions here (other than to try refreshing the page until the application appears), but thought the experience might be helpful.

Hi, I'm also having the same problem which affects all the browsers I use (IE7 (32 & 64 bit), Firefox and Flock. It doesn't seem to be related to the resources or setup on my machine (Vista 64 on a Sun Ultra M3 workstation and Java 6 update 12 (build 1.6.0_12-b04).

The problem does not seem to relate to time of day and as far as I can tell there are no Firewall issues.

The startup sequence seems to behave unpredictably, sometimes opening a new window sometimes not.

Any ideas would be welcome and I'm happy to help try and diagnose the problem by experimenting with setups.

It's a great tool when it works but very frustrating when it dosen't and I'd prefer not to switch to a different tool now I've figured out its benefits so someone please help .
