hi,
Hope this does not sound like a stupid question, but this line got me worried "If you make a change, say add or delete information from the sitemap, you need to do the following:" Does this mean the site map does not add automatically new content ? So if i make a new page I have to redo the sitemap ? or add a few lines to the xml file. I thought most sitemaps were kinda dynamic ? sorry if this is silly question ![]() cheers |

Hi Jim,
Thanks thats great info. I wonder if you would be so kind to answer another couple of questions for me. If I make a new page, I should just manually add it to the sitemap xml or make a new sitemap, do I then resubmit the site map to google everytime ? or just upload the new sitemap and google will spot new pages in xml on its next scan ? Also I anticipate the only changes to happen in the blog section of my site, so could I make a sitemap for the html pages that wont change, and have it in my root folder, then make another sitemap in the blog folder using wordpress sitemap plug-in that will dynamically add new content. i.e. have 2 sitemaps ? What do you think ? Many many thanks, tom |
