I was wondering wether it would be possible for me to track down from where someone is connecting to the internet using an IP adress as it’s done in the "Anonymous Surfing Test"…
Thing is that someone (I suspect a few "friends") is pretending to be me over the internet and the only clue which i’ve got is his or her IP adress.

Nairu, first of all you need to find out their real ip address. If you are sure that the ip address that you have is really theirs and not that of a proxy then you’ll most likely find all the info you are looking for.
Go to db.ripe.net/whois or to
arin.net/whois/
and submit a query for that ip. You will get detailed info on what isp they have, what people you could contact for more info and what city, maybe even what street are they from.
If you won’t find many details you can always contact their isp and request for more details. But do this last thing only in more problematic cases as this should be your last resort.
