SQL Server

Hello

I’m just investigating this CRM system – there’s a lot I like :-) Thanks for all the hard work.

Please can you tell me: Is it possible to use a Microsoft SQL Server database instead of the Access one?

Thanks

Justin

My free crm software will indeed work with Microsoft SQL server, you just need to make a few changes to the way you call the database. If you have a tech working on this, then they (or your DB administrator) will know what to do. I don’t have the time to make the changes myself, but when you do, can you please post them here for everyone to see?

    Thanks,

    Jim.

Thanks for this – its appreciated.

Like you time is the issue. But when i get a spare half-day I’d certainly like to have a go at migrating the access database into a SQL server script that anyone can run.

When I do I’d be delighted to post it.

Attached to this post is an sql script for recreating the access database to sql2005

The script came from importing the Access db to sql and then scripting the entire thing to a query window.

I have made no changes to the crm itself – yet – but I recon there must be some local issues when it comes to dates.

Remember to set language at query time to US English for dates to work correctly

Use at own risc – no responsibility taken – no guarantee that CRM works with sql 2005 database.

I would like to remove all advertising in the CRM and make a discrete link at main page instead.

Thank you so much for the script to recreate the access database to sql2005!

    It’s greatly appreciated!

I used the script to create my database but don’t know where to begin to connect the app to that database and what files that I would have to edit. if anyone could help I would appreciate it. It do have it working perfectly now with the access database.
