Welcome to the Forum!
I am trying to make sense of this – if I view your source, place it on a page on one of my servers, then test it, it comes up fine. But, when testing your site directly, it comes up with the 403 error.
I do not have an answer right now as to why this is, but I will look into this.
Should you find something before then, please let me know.
Regards,
Jim.
For some reason your server did not like my default user agent string and issued a 403 message.
If you click on the ‘url check’ tab, look for ‘Request Properties’ and enter:
User-Agent=Firefox
Then your site returns a 200 OK message.
My default user agent is Java/1.6.0 – I am not sure why your server does not like this, but somewhere, there are settings filtering user agents. Perhaps your ISP has something set up?
This is the first site I have seen that behaved like this – or, I should say, the first site that has responded in this manner to my default user agent.
So, solution for you – just enter the firefox user agent as above and you should be all set.
If you discover why your server responds this way, please write back – I would love to know!
Regards,
Jim.
Thanks – That’s not a typical hosting server for me and I’ve experienced other problems with other scripts that I’ve used for this client that seemed to point back to load balancing issues on their server. Not sure if that plays a role or not.
