I have tried everything with Proxomitron, check all boxes and such, to try and keep the anonymous tester from finding out where I live etc, but it never ever works! The best setting until now is the default.cfg, which was able to hide my UserAgent. That’s it.
The point is that I’d like pretty much everything to be hidden (except for my IP-adress, because I’m not too fond of proxies). I have installed Grypen’s filter, and cleared the cache before retrying it, but to no avail. That’s why I ask here: what must I do?

Proxomitron can hide all your information except your IP address. The only way to hide your IP address is to use a proxy, and that can be risky.
If you have a laptop, you could find a free wireless hotspot, such as a coffee shop, etc and then surf the net with proxomitron and you would be completely hidden (including your IP).
If you have a website, say one of those inexpensive ones ($5 month, etc) that allows the proxy software to run, then you could set up your own proxy and use that.
For example, a lot of people use 1and1.com for personal proxy servers. You can download a free proxy server, such as ht tp: //sourceforge.net/projects/poxy/ and install it on your server, then set the security settings so that only you can use it, then surf the web.
If you make your proxy available to others, then you are liable for their actions – something to keep in mind
Anonymous surfing will allow you to verify that your information is really hidden once you have it all configured.

hello to all I read one of the informational pages here and figured I should use an anonymous surfing software. I want the best for free but thats being humanly selfish. I am hoping to find some helping in choosing a software program that is good and not over priced. Thank you Have a good weekend
