Hey Jim ,I have a question for you. I have a new site called net-span.com, I use your speed test very nice by the way. My question is on meta tags and search engine Optimization. I seem to only get 15 to 20 views a day on this one. I have loaded the site with all the majors and some directories just as Broadband-speed-test.com. For some reason Net-span.com hasn’t worked as well as the first. Now I consider myself a novice and work with WordPress on these so can you please take a look and let me know in laymans terms where I might have gone astray.
Thanks
Gater

I reviewed your site and it looks like you might have tweaked the WordPress template you are using – When I choose ‘View Source’ from my browser after visiting your site, I see </head>, some html, then <body onload="liveSearchInit()"> and this should be:
</head>
<body onload="liveSearchInit()">
html
Then, I also noticed that on your speed test page, at the bottom, you have
</body>
</html>
Which is the same as hanging up the phone after talking with someone. If you talk into the receiver after you have disconnected, no one will hear, right?
Well, you have html after the ending </html> tag (you already disconnected, so it’s useless), so, take all the text (code, html, etc) that comes after the </html> tag and place it just before the </body> tag.
Make those changes and you will see an increase in traffic and ranking. Nice sites by the way!
Best regards,
Jim.
By the way – stick the links to your site in your signature and after 10 posts, they will start showing up – you want to do this
