No problem with a hacked debit card, just call the bank and tell them it has been compromised. There is a grace period before you actually report the card, so don’t panic about the transactions.
If this happened a month ago and you are just now discovering it, then you will probably be responsible for some of the charges.
They are very good at tracking down hacked debit cards.
Just make sure you notify them ASAP and get a conformation code / ticket ID so that you’ll have proof that you contacted them!
I would also assume that other information has been compromised as well and review or change all your online passwords, just to be on the safe side!
A hacked debit card is never fun!
Good luck Dean!
Note that most online compaies will balcklist your name for further use of ccards online when you dispute a transaction. Usually the blacklist only applies to a group of chronies assicaited with the original disputed transaction, but be aware of the drawbacks to filing a dspute verses simply cancel the old card.
