Hello,
I’ve recently started getting popups from certain sites such as adutfriendfinder, popuptraffic, and ad2.adecn.com.
And I keep getting this ‘object’ (not sure if it’s a window – cannot enlarge it) called NULL. I’ve also noticed several instances of LOGGING.EXE when I check in Task Manager. I have a suspicion that NULL is connected to LOGGING.EXE.
Any advice on how to stop this appreciated.

I would be concerned about this! What kind of antispyware do you have on your system? Microsoft has a great free spyware removal service located at microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
They also have some excellent process utilities that will let you know what is running on what ports. These process utilities are located at:
microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/processexplorer.mspx
Are you running a firewall? What type? Hardware, software, XP, etc…
