Not necessary, it could be that the code is messed up on the clients sites. However, I’d check your version of Java on this official page: java.com/en/download/installed.jsp and if you find you don’t have the latest, I’d download and install that, then try again.
I have found (especially with running java based software as opposed to software that just sometimes refers to java…minecraft really comes to mind lol) that uninstalling the old java first (even if you have already updated it) and then doing a FRESH install, and the memory tweak, will help to fix most of the lava problems….might not fix all, but I have not had even one of the problems I used to have since I did this.
