Question Google Checkout

Jim,
Have any thoughts on why Google Checkout for merchants is so incredibly difficult to sign in to? I have spent the last several hours trying to figure out how to sign in. I have a merchant I.D. from an earlier marathon session but have been defeated in signing into google checkout for merchants. I'm aware Googlecheckout makes no distinction in it's name betwen buyers and sellers, but after I'm signed in, all it does is ask me sign-up questions. If I have a merchant I.D. I would think I wouldnt be asked these questions.

Thanks,

Roger

Default Two Passwords

Found out there's one password for buying and another for merchant account, yet both are called Google Checkout.

Default Google check vs Paypal

Hi Roger, sorry for the delay - cranked out a site over the weekend and needed to stay focused.

It seems confusing at first, but the service works great and very easy to use! And, fees are better than Paypal

Best regards,

Jim.

Default It's going to take a while

Google wants me to verify my bank account account by telling them what amount they put into my my account - my bank has no record of them ever putting money into my account. Google insists it did, said they'll try again.

Default Google Check Out

Did Google Check Out ever send the payment - and I have to ask, but all the account information is correct, right?

Regards,

Jim.

Default Info

Jim,

Google reset it, so I couldn't check it. Google never said they couldn't make a deposit, they said they did make a deposit, I doubt very much it went into someone elses account. I reentered the Bank info, should see a deposit from Google on Monday.

The Poll is creeping along there, I guess we'll have to give it a month.

Thanks Jim,

Roger

Default Forum poll traffic

Hi Roger,

Unlike most forums, this forum's primary purpose is to allow me to support my applications and sites rather than using email; most of the visitors have a question, then take off.

The forum seems to do very well on Google and I get a fair amount of traffic, but most of the visitors lurk (read, find the solution and leave without participating) - which is fine with me (means that the forum is serving it's intended purpose)

So, the poll may not have as much participation as you had hoped for.

Best regards,

Jim.
