I’m impressed with the free scans offered at AuditMyPC.com, but am interested in programs that I can use on my personal PC to test my server. A program that sits and runs on my computer would be ideal!

Welcome to the forum Paul and yes, the program you want to use is Nessus – there is not a better vulnerability scanning program around. It’s 100% free and you can download it and use it to audit your systems.
