Download Speed Question

I have 1.5m dsl, Audit tested my speed and showed that result. So if according to that and other tests and what Im signed up for I have 1.5m download rate, why no matter what Im downloading, either a file off a website or a song, do I only get a max of 180ks?

I'd like to say that it's the speed of the site you are downloading from, but I'm guessing that this happens on any site, right? PM me the location of a song or file that you know is downloading slow (that doesn't have any license restrictions of course : ) and I'll download it, then stick it on my site and we'll see what happens.

Heres the best siteI could find (rpgdreamer.com/mp3.html). The third one down, Radical Dreamers, is a 4.1mb file, the first few are only 1.5, I figured too small to really test it. The fastest I could download from that site was 185k. I have earthlink for my dsl, with a Zyxel Prestige modem. Any chance that could have some kind of restriction cap on my download? Also if I download with a program, say EA downloader, my caps is always ~180k. Thank you for the help.

and see if you are still downloading at the same speed. This forums sits on a lot of bandwidth, so it should take no time at all.
