I am getting an Upload Error.

I loaded this on an internal server that does not have outside access, so I could test it.

The test needs outside access in order to run - it verifies that you have given me credit and without access, that verification won't happen.

Jim

Thumbs up upload error

Hi Jim..

I retested at home with my firewall switched off and the speed test does work..

I use zone alarm.
I set it to the default installation setting (medium security with option set to default) and the test still doesn't work.
You have to completely turn it off to get the upload to work.

hope that is helpful to you.
There must be some difference between this one and your test with the bars at that one works fine with the firewall on.

cheers
Steve

Question upload error - me too

Hi there,
Just got here by way of Serverbeach.com
On your Site I got D/L 258 and 240 and U/L "error" twice.
It did work from Serverbeach but showed:
242 & 292 D/L and 100 & 98 U/L.

ANY advice is welcomed

I am in Australia in Queensland - not a good I/net start but great place to live
My ISP deal is 512/256 from Perth Australia ( other side of the continent)

Where do I start with all o'this?

Cheers!

Default Connection dedicated to speed test

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Serverbeach has a connection dedicated to just the speed test, mine is shared with other applications.

I'm not sure what you are getting an upload error. Can you provide me with the exact url and I'll check it out.

Best regards,

Jim.

Default Upload error from hell!

Ok, put the large broadband test on mechcom.net/speedtest/ and whenever I run it, the download is great, the upload errors out. I figured it was a write permission error of some kind so I started changing permissions. More and more untill I gave the whole speedtest folder and sub folder full read/write for god sakes. Still, upload error. It's running on a windows 2000 server. It has to be something simple. Please, any suggestions would be helpful.

Default Need PHP or ASP to run flash speed test

You'll need php or asp to run the upload test. The program looks for upload.php or upload.asp.

Does that help?

Regards,

Jim.
