It found my private IP. I was wondering if I could see the code on how that was done, or at least be pointed in the right direction. Im used to wokring with php and it seems that this script is in ASP.
Any help is appreciated.
I can’t give you the code to this harmless test, but it’s java working with a server side program (ASP) to grab your private IP.
To many people said it couldn’t be done, and when they found out it could, it didn’t go over too well. It is there to prove that just having a firewall in place does not protect you from everything.

So there is no way to know the private IP simply from the server side?
Yes and No.
The two have to work togeather to see the internal ip address, client and server applications. The server does see the private IP, for example, look at this Internal IP address – NAT addresses, Private IP, NATed Addy
In the list above, the server displays the last twenty IP addresses.
