Downloading too much?!

I’ve recently installed mobile broadband on my home pc and everything was working fine. Until last night I downloaded about 10mb of video clips / music from the net, when i logged off after 45 minutes, the usage summary told me i had downloaded 177mb!

I’ve logged on several times since, and even if i log on for just 2 minutes to view one web page, it tells me i have downloaded 5 or 6 mb?!

When i go to Windows Task Manager – Performance it tells me i am using 16% of the PC, when in actual fact i am not doing anything.

Is this likely to be a virus or something downloading itself? I have McAffe internet security and that tells me all is ok. What can i do to stop this?

With this packet sniffer, you can find out exactly what is going on, where your computer is going and what is being downloaded!

Let me know what you find!
